Welcome to Alaska
Fairbanks welcomes you to the edge of Alaska’s great northern wilderness. Meet our local representative for your included arrival welcome and transfer to the hotel. Rooms are typically available after 2:00 PM, leaving time to settle in before the Journey begins.
Later, join your Tour Captain for a Discovery Walk through Fairbanks, an introduction to the city’s Gold Rush roots and the resilient spirit that continues to shape life in Alaska’s Interior.
This evening, gather for a relaxed Welcome Dinner. Your Tour Captain selects regional appetizers and wines for the table, with alcohol-free choices always available, before guests order from the restaurant’s primary menu.

Day 2
Arctic Circle Air Adventure
Travel to the local airfield for an included flightseeing adventure north across Alaska’s immense and remote Interior. Below, traces of historic gold mining, the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and the broad Yukon River Valley reveal the scale of the landscape.
Cross the Arctic Circle and continue near the rugged Brooks Range, just south of Gates of the Arctic National Park, before reaching a wilderness community along the Middle Fork Koyukuk River. An official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate marks the experience before your return to Fairbanks.

GoldStar Rail to Talkeetna
Board the GoldStar Dome Train for a panoramic journey through Denali country. Breakfast and lunch are served aboard as snow-capped mountains, broad valleys and river landscapes unfold beyond the glass.
After arriving in Talkeetna, transfer to your lodge and join your Tour Captain for a Discovery Walk through the town’s colorful frontier stories. A relaxed Welcome Dinner follows in Now Journey style.

Onward to Girdwood
Continue toward Girdwood as towering peaks, waterfalls and alpine scenery gather around the route. Near Mt. Alyeska, enjoy an experience connected with the legendary world of the Iditarod before checking in for two nights.
After time to freshen up, gather with your Tour Captain for a Welcome to Girdwood Dinner, with regional appetizers and wine selected for the table and alcohol-free choices available.

A Day in Glacier Country

Girdwood to Seward
Travel from Girdwood toward Seward along one of Alaska’s most scenic routes. Along the way, visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for a meaningful introduction to native wildlife and conservation.
Settle into the waterfront chapter of the Journey, then gather for a Welcome to Seward Dinner with regional appetizers and wine selected for the table.

Kenai Fjords Glacier Cruise
Journey into Kenai Fjords National Park, where tidewater glaciers meet the sea. Watch for sea lions, puffins and humpback whales as Alaska’s coastal wilderness unfolds around the vessel.
Alternative optional experiences may include an Exit Glacier and Harding Icefield hike, kayaking in Resurrection Bay or a visit to the Alaska SeaLife Center. Indicative pricing may vary: $190 per person for the guided hike, $190–$650 per person for kayaking, and $45 general admission for the SeaLife Center.

Summer and early autumn conditions vary by destination. Daytime temperatures may range from the upper 50s to low 70s, while evenings, glaciers and coastal areas can feel cool. Bring layers and a light waterproof jacket.
Are wildlife sightings guaranteed?
No. Alaska offers opportunities to see moose, bears, eagles, sea lions, puffins, whales and other wildlife, but sightings depend on season and conditions.
How do the Hotel Collections differ?
