Portugal Adventure Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 1: WELCOME TO PORTO
Upon arrival to the Porto airport, clear customs and then meet our driver for the included transfer to the hotel located just a few minutes away.
Discovery Walk: Porto
This afternoon you will meet our Now Journey Tour Captain who will host a discovery walk through the heart of vibrant Porto. Get to know Porto and its hilly character as we get to know our fellow adventurers as well.

Tonight join the Journey Tour Captain for an included dinner in a picturesque location in Porto.

DAY 2: Exploring Porto

Hello Harry!? JK Rowling's Harry Potter Origins in Porto?
After a delicious included breakfast at the hotel, our Tour Captain will introduce you to our amazing Local Guide for an in-depth walking tour of historic Porto. Today as we delve into the unique culture of the city, we will visit Sao Bento Station, said to be one of the most beautiful train stations in the world, the Gothic Monument Church of St. Francis and the Romanesque Porto Cathedral. We also learn of the inspirations JK Rowling had from her time in Porto complete with students clad in Black educational cloaks and the amazing Livraria Lello Library.
Special Access: We've got timed reservations for you to check out the amazing Livraria Lello (Lello Bookstore) which is said to be the third most beautiful bookstore in the world.
DAY 3: Optional Douro Valley & Winery Experience
Enjoy today at leisure or opt for our amazing excursion into the Douro Valley complete with wine tasting paired with morsels.

An Amazing Experience by Vehicle, Boat and Farm Truck!
After breakfast, consider our optional tour outside of the city into the lush and beautiful Douro Valley. Travel along the river into one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world with stunning landscapes. We will visit one of the finest historic cellars in the region where we will enjoy a tour and wine tasting with views of the Douro River. Following our visit, we return to Porto for an afternoon at leisure. $330 per person.

DAY 4: To Belem
We make our way south toward Lisbon this morning to continue our discovery of amazing Portugal.
Today's Adventure: Belem
Meet your Tour Captain this morning as we make our way to the town of Belém and visit the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos (Jeronimos Monastery). We will see the Belem Tower and the impressive Monument to the Discoveries. We continue our journey on to Lisbon in the late-afternoon to check in and freshen up before a Discovery Walkabout to our welcome dinner.

DAY 5: Discovering Lisbon
Today's Adventure: Treasures of Lisbon
After a delicious included breakfast, meet the Journey Tour Captain and our Local Guide for a walking tour of historic Lisbon where we will learn of the many architectural and historical influences from Roman and Moorish occupations of the country and the dramatic impact of the earthquake of 1755. We will explore some of the neighborhoods of Lisbon including Baixa, where you will learn the history of the earthquake that shaped today's downtown. Bairro Alto, the local's favorite for nightlife, and Chiado, one of the oldest areas of the city, will prove delightful as our guide provides expert commentary.
DAY 6: OPTION TO SINTRA
Enjoy today at leisure or opt for our amazing excursion to Sintra.
Today's Optional Adventure: Discovering Sintra
Consider a day trip to beautiful Sintra: experience the beauty of Sinta Natural Park, the immaculate Pena National Palace and then enjoy the Atlantic Coast to Cascais for a leisurely walk through town. Enjoy some free time at Cascais Beach.
We will return late afternoon to Lisbon for a free evening. $330 per person.
DAY 7: EXPLORING THE ALGARVE
Today's Adventure: To the Algarve
We make our way to the southern Portuguese Coast, our home for the next 3 nights.

We return to our hotel for the balance of the afternoon at leisure.
