DAY 1: YOUR ALASKAN JOURNEY BEGINS IN FAIRBANKS

Make your arrival to Fairbanks, Alaska. Upon arrival, meet our representative for our included Meet-and-Greet and Arrival Transfer to our hotel. Once arrived, you may check-in to your room (rooms are typically ready after 2pm) and freshen up before you meet your Journey Tour Director for a very special welcome to Alaska.

Meet your Journey Tour Director for a discovery walk through Fairbanks and learn about the fascinating history and stories of the city.

We're excited to have you on this Journey. Your Tour Director will greet you with our special traditional Journey welcome.

Welcome to Fairbanks Dinner

Your Journey Tour Director will select a variety of appetizers, featuring regional cuisine, and will select your wine for the evening (or if you prefer alcohol-free beverages we've got great offerings!). Then you will be presented with the restaurant's primary menu. It's an intentionally relaxed evening of delight so you can savor the experience. Welcome to Alaska!

DAY 2: ARCTIC CIRCLE AIR ADVENTURE, BROOKS RANGE WILDERNESS

Today's Adventure: Arctic Circle Flight-Seeing Experience

We will make our way to the local airfield where we begin our included flightseeing adventure and travel north as we wonder at the expanse and remote aspects of the territory below. We will witness remnants of the gold mining that continues nearly 100 years after the yellow metal first brought newcomers rushing north. We will view the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline, symbolizing the immense changes brought to Alaska's Arctic by the discovery of oil over 30 years ago. We will fly over the expansive Yukon River Valley, home of traditional peoples that sustain their lifestyle and culture as they have for thousands of years. And we will thrill at the excitement of crossing the Arctic Circle.

The rugged and magnificent Brooks Mountain Range will delight as the flight route passes just south of the Gates of the Arctic National Park. We make our way to a wilderness community on the Middle Fork Koyukuk River and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate (you will receive your certificate upon return to Fairbanks). Enjoy an orientation and learn the fascinating story of the surrounding Brooks Range wilderness.

We return to our hotel for the evening at leisure.

DAY 3: PANO-TRAIN RIDE TO TALKEETNA

Enjoy breakfast in the fresh mountain air and then we're off for an adventure onboard the dome railcar through Denali National Park.

Today's Adventure: Dome RailCar through Denali

Breakfast and Lunch will be served on the train while you enjoy panoramic views of Denali's magical snow capped mountains and breathtaking landscapes.

About DENALI NATIONAL PARK
Denali National Park and Preserve encompasses 6 million acres of Alaska's interior wilderness. Its centerpiece is 20,310-ft.-high Denali (fka Mount McKinley), North America's tallest peak. With terrain of tundra, spruce forest and glaciers, the park is home to wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, moose, caribou and Dall sheep.

DAY 4: GLACIER AIR ADVENTURE, DENALI NATIONAL PARK

Today's Adventure: Glacier Flight-Seeing Adventure

We will make our way to the local airfield for our included flightseeing adventure to the west side of Denali National Park. After a beautiful flight, you will land and walk out on a glacier (weather permitting) and experience this wild wilderness firsthand. This experience will take your breath away and leave you speechless at the wonder of this landscape.

Return to your hotel for the balance of the day at leisure.

DAY 5: GIRDWOOD

Today's Adventure: Husky Farm

Today we make our way to Girdwood with a scenic drive to Mt. Alyeska. We enjoy a delightful experience at a Husky Farm complete with lunch. Upon arrival we check-in, time to freshen up and then join the Tour Director.

Your Journey Tour Director will select a variety of appetizers, featuring regional cuisine, and will select your wine for the evening.

DAY 6: GIRDWOOD AT LEISURE

Enjoy a complete day at leisure. Journey has reserved tickets for the Scenic Alyeska Tram if that is of interest to you. The tram summits the mountain so you can view the incredible views.

Other options like Glacier Hiking, Horseback riding, fishing, zip-lining, Bear viewing and more are available. Just inquire.

DAY 7: PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND - GLACIER

Today's Adventure: Helicopter Glacier Landing and Prince William Sound

Today we board a helicopter and explore the Lake George Glacier, Lake George Valley and the Colony Glacier.

As you fly through the Chugach backcountry the panorama opens to glacial formed valleys and magnificent fields of ancient translucent blue ice. The highlight will be the glacier landing a top a high ridge with a 360 degree view. On the way back you will have an exciting trip over the pristine waters of Prince William Sound. The clear waters and rocky fjords offer breathtaking landscapes and excellent wildlife spotting opportunities.

Return to the hotel for the balance of the day at leisure.

DAY 8: ALASKA WILDLIFE CONSERVATION CENTER - TO ANCHORAGE

Today's Adventure: Animal Encounter, Earthquake Park, Lake Hood

We set out for the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center which is a wildlife center dedicated to the rehabilitation of orphaned and injured animals in addition to providing wildlife awareness and education to the public. Then we are guided through the AWCC and share the history and personal stories of the resident animals. You'll have a chance to be up close and personal with a porcupine and have the chance to feed some of the animals.

We return to the hotel for the balance of the day at leisure until our events tonight.

Our Special Journey Finalé

Meet early this evening for our special Aperitive to celebrate our time together the Amazing Journey to Alaska. Our days have been filled with new sights, tastes and discoveries - tonight enjoy reflecting on the incredible journey we've had together.
